Gendered price differences

A recent study found that men selling items on eBay get higher prices than women selling the same items. Researchers acknowledged this finding as one more affirmation that people have different expectations of men and women, and treat them differently. And yes, they found it depressing (at least the women did—no word if they sell on eBay), and no, they didn’t know why.It’s more unfair than you think. Products for women have higher prices, and we’re not talking designer handbags. Make a razor pink, for instance, and it will cost more. With their eBay items selling for less, how are women going to pay their gender-specific packaging surcharge?
